We then went out to Jeff’s favorite spot to snorkel. Jeff & Ransom did a great job getting our poles set up, helping us to understand the best way to fish for success, & explaining what fish we had caught. We caught several kinds of snapper (one that had to be put back because it’s a fish that helps to clean the reef). Ransom caught some bate fish to get us started & then we headed to a few different spots to fish. We had a great tour with Jeff & Ransom! The water was a bit rough when we’re riding out, but Ransom did a great job navigating the waters. This was a special day that we will never forget. He even stopped to show us the fruit of a cashew. On the way back to the resort Victor joked around with us we danced, laughed and sang. Victor made two extra stops for us, we swam in Blue Hole and stopped for ice cream and had the best ice cream I’ve eaten. After the ruins, we did some shopping and had a local lunch… delicious. We also had a chance to talk to an archaeologist that was working there. We climbed to the top and after we saw monkeys, a boa constrict and a huge iguana. It was hot but Vic stopped in the shade when was explaining all about the site. When we got to the ruins we took this quick ferry ride across the river to drive into the area where we left the van and walked to the ruins. My teenage daughters were listening but still waking up. The things he knew and shared with us made the trip enjoyable for me and my husband. On the drive to Xunantunich, Victor told us all about Belize. We were picked up on-time in a beautiful air conditioned van. Our travel guide was a local named Victor.
